Peace of Christ and Memorial Day

Today’s gospel was taken from John 16:23-33. We focused on a few different parts of the gospel. First, what we ought to ask for in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to ask that our joy may be full and that we’ll receive it, to ask for all that pertains to our eternal life, to ask for peace. Peace and joy given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ is not a temporary peace but a peace and joy that nothing can take away from us.

I also made a comment at the end of the homily on Memorial Day. May we honor the memory of all those who have served this country in the U.S. Military.
