The Art of Listening

In last Sunday’s Gospel reading taken from Luke 1:26-38, the Archangel Gabriel visits a poor young girl in a poor part of town and gives her good news. She hears with open ears and an open heart and accepts the words of the Archangel. The Angel leaves her presence as she becomes the Theotokos, the Second Heaven for our Savior. Listen to this homily on the art of listening, and may we all be worthy to Hear and to Act according to the good news that is given to us.
