Let’s be Diligent!

The Great Fast is not just about food. The food aspect allows us to be more in tune with God and with our brothers and sisters. We consecrate this period to spend more time in prayer, more time in service, more time in silence. Our goal is to be less self-centered, and more Christ-centered. Let us devour and satiate ourselves on the Holy Scriptures. Let us drink deeply from the living waters that flow from the Holy Scriptures. Let us train our hands to give and not to take, to satisfy others and not seek self-satisfaction. Let us extend our hands and our hearts to those who are in need. There is so much for us to learn from this period, so let’s not waste one moment.
