Bread of Life; Life-giving Flesh
Just as the Israelites were sustained in the wilderness for forty years by Manna from heaven, we as baptized Christians are sustained in the wilderness of this life through the Bread of Life, the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is given to us in the Eucharist. May we always seek this heavenly bread in the Eucharist, and may it always be a source of healing and life to our souls.
