Invisible No More

Today’s Gospel related the wonderful encounter between Christ and the sinful woman in the house of Simon (Lk 7). There is so much to unpack in this beautiful encounter - the woman’s repentance, the judging nature of Simon, the love of the Savior, the love of the woman, the forgiveness of sins, etc. The homily today was a bit long, but the focus was more on the invisibility of people. People become invisible when we don’t see their soul, and only focus on their body. We imagine our own invisibility when we sin, forgetting the presence of God. Christ says to us, “You are not invisible.” Christ sees us and sees His image within us. When we allow ourselves to be seen by Him (in the Church), he begins our spiritual healing. Listen to the homily deal with these major issues.
