Receive One Another

Christ came into the world, and not only did He suffer, but those around him suffered as well. Children in Bethlehem were slaughtered. The Holy Family were uprooted and traveled to Egypt. Yet out of that suffering, Christ granted victory to all.

We are not only granted victory over suffering, but also victory over our sins and our enemies. We are given the ability to love even those who persecute us. May we hear the words of St. John Chrysostom, exhorting us to “receive one another, just as Christ also received us” (Rom 15:7).

May we always seek the power of the Gospel and it’s saving salvation through our faith in Jesus Christ.
